Welcome back to the second part of “THC-O Info.” I am Melissa, your CBD Guide: glad you could join us! Okay I’m being silly – it’s a Monday. So while my last post talked about the pro-drug THC-O and the effects it has had on some consumers, mainly your truly, this shorter second part deals with drug testing.
There is no information on how long THC-O remains in the body or how the body processes THC-O. There have been reports that claim THC-O will not show up on a drug screen because it is a different molecule. I can tell you several CBD experts and I agree that that is total horse sh**. Drug tests can rarely tell the difference between the THC and it’s analogs; that molecule means nothing.
Is is safe, you ask? One common confusion is that people seem to want to compare it to “Spice,” that it could be potentially toxic. Even though THC-O is a semi-synthetic cannabinoid, it is often sourced from industrially grown organic hemp plants that are non-GMO and pesticide free. THC-O is a man-made compound. Although there isn’t enough research to claim it is safe. But the future does look promising since there have been no reported overdoses.
When purchasing THC-O products, because of the processes it has to go through, we recommend you deal with a reputable company that is highly trained and knowledgeable, as well as can answer any and all questions you may have. You know that means you’ll have to come see us, right? We’ll be looking for you !
