What can CBD do for your pets?
CBD comes from the hemp or marijuana plant and does not get you up there. It does have many uses and can be used for your pet. CBD can be used to help reduce allergies, heart health, inflammation, anxiety, seizures, and other things. Using CBD depends on the endocannabinoid system, due to achieving and maintaining balance while it processes in the body. Every pet ECS is different so what works for one, may not work for the next. CBD can be given to your pet in different ways. You can purchase tinctures, chews, and treats. They can be bought in full spectrum, which will help your pet gain weight, or you can get it in a broad spectrum which they will not gain any weight. You can also buy it in different flavors such as blueberry, baked cheese, peanut butter, bacon, turkey, and chicken.
CBD is the way to go instead of medication if you are looking for a more natural way to help your pet. When you give your pet CBD, you should monitor them and their behavior. You will be able to tell if their symptoms are getting better or not. For instance, are they getting around better from having trouble with pain? Are they calmer and more relaxed from just being very hyper or when you cut their claws or because of a thunderstorm? Has their skin irritation gone away or is their coat shiner? Are their seizures becoming fewer? When they come in from outside and their eyes are runny and sneezing due to allergies, has that subsided? If your pet has to have surgery, it helps them to recover from it by stimulating their appetite and speeding up the healing process. Just like humans, it could take up to 30 minutes for it to take effect. You have to be consistent with it and give it to them daily for you to see a change in their behavior.
If you decided to give your pet CBD, then use it to the fullest advantage. If it is for pain, heart health, anxiety, or seizures, then you would administer it as recommended. If you are giving it to them due to thunderstorms, trimming claws, etc., then only give it to them to help them when that time comes.
We all love our pets and treat them like our children. Pets are very loyal and faithful to us and completely dependent on us too. We have to feed them, water them, and groom them. Pets can experience things just like a human can. They have feelings and they also have health concerns. That is why we get their yearly shots to protect them from sickness. Even though we do all of that, we can take some extra steps to help them along the way. There are many people that have turned to CBD for their pets because of all the benefits it has to offer them. CBD for humans should not be given to your pet because of the higher milligrams it contains. You don’t want to see your baby suffer in any kind of way. When you give your pet a dose you want to give them 0.25 mg per pound. For instance, if your pet weighs 10 pounds, you would administer 2.50mg for their dose.
