CBD, cannabidiol, is the chemical compound that is found in cannabis and is mostly extracted from the hemp plant but can be taken from the marijuana plant. When CBD is taken from either plant it does have small traces of THC in it, but when taken from the marijuana plant it may have more THC in it.
